Welcome to the site. I'm a freelance writer and editor, working mostly for British national newspapers and magazines.

I have a decade's experience in the press, including spells as number two on Sunday Times Travel magazine, as deputy editor of the Telegraph's editorial projects desk, and as a production journalist on three national tabloids.

I'm now an independent freelancer. While journalism – particularly travel writing – takes up much of my time, I also take on advertising and commercial copywriting work. I split my time between London, my home in Wales and wherever else the job takes me.

These pages are intended both as a shop window and a sounding board, to pile up the metaphors. They should offer an idea of what I've done, what I can do, and what's interesting me at the moment.
